Terms of Service

  • Additional pets may incur additional charges depending upon the level of care required, i.e., cleaning of cages or pens for additional birds, rabbits, rodents, chooks, etc. Additional horses will be a mutually acceptable, negotiated price.

  • Our first Meet & Greet is FREE. However, if subsequent meetings are requested, a $25/meeting charge will apply.

  • A $10/day surcharge will be added to house sitting, doggy day care, and daily visits, and a $5.00 surcharge will be added to dog walks on Christmas and Boxing days, New Year’s day, and Easter long weekends

  • House Sitting Late Returns: The daily house sitting rate is for a 24-hour period. If your return is later than 24 hours from our agreed start time, additional charges of between $25 - $55 will apply.

  • I Love Paws may use any photos or video footage taken for this website, or any marketing purpose to the general public. If you prefer not to have your pet(s) included in this, please indicate this at the Meet & Greet or before the start of any booking.

  • It is industry standard that all bookings are paid for before service is rendered. All house sits must be paid in full one week before commencement date, or if a last minute booking, paid in full at time of acceptance of booking. All other services must be paid in full 48 hours prior to commencement of service, or if last minute booking, paid in full at the time of acceptance of the booking.

  • I Love Paws will always make every effort to take pet(s) to their own veterinarian as indicated in the Meet & Greet intake. The client is responsible for all charges their veterinarian recommends. In case of an emergency occurring far from their local geographic area, the welfare of the animal will be the priority and I Love Paws reserves the right to take pet(s) to the closest emergency veterinarian clinic if medical treatment is deemed necessary. The client is responsible for all charges of the veterinary clinic. In the event I Love Paws is unable to contact the owner about an acutely sick/injured pet, the client authorizes the pet sitter, with the advice/recommendation of the veterinarian, to act on their behalf and make the best decision for the pet’s welfare

  • Injury to Client animal(s) by another animal: Client and pet sitter are aware that the highest level of care shall be given to any and all pets under the pet sitter’s care. Client is aware that pets are instinctual by nature and not always controllable by the sitter even when the highest level of care is provided. I Love Paws will not be responsible for any animal(s) that instigates fights with other animals or is injured by another animal while in I Love Paws’s care. All appropriate actions will be taken to ensure that the Client’s animal(s) are not placed in the company of aggressive or violent animals, but I Love Paws cannot be responsible for the aggressive behaviour of either the Client’s animal or an animal not within their care and control.

  • Injury or escape of pet(s): Client and sitter are aware that the highest level of care shall be given to any and all pets under the care of the pet sitter. Client is aware that pet(s) are instinctual by nature and not always controllable by the sitter even when the highest level of care is provided. Should the Client’s pet(s) run away or be injured, the Client agrees that I Love Paws will not be responsible for any liability. This shall not apply or be effective if I Love Paws’s conduct in providing its pet care services is found to be grossly negligent, reckless, or if there is intentional misconduct

  • Injury to pet sitter or another person by Client’s pet(s): The Client will be responsible for all damage as a result of the Client’s pet(s). Client agrees to hold harmless the pet sitter in the event of a claim by any person injured by the Client’s pet(s).

Cancellation Policy

  • For Dog Walking, Home Visits and Daycare: you will receive a full refund if you cancel before 12:00 p.m. 24 hours before the booking. You will receive a 50% refund if you cancel later than 12:00 p.m. 24 hours before the booking. No refund will be given if you cancel on or after the start date.

  • For House Sitting: You will receive a full refund if you cancel before 12:00 p.m. 7 days before the booking. You will receive a 50% refund if you cancel later than 12:00 p.m. 7 days before the booking. You will not receive a refund if you cancel on or after the start date.
