Much to my mother’s dismay, my first word was the name of our dog.

And contrary to what they (hopefully?) assumed, I never did outgrow my passion (obsession?) for all four-legged sentient beings.

Which is why, as soon as I could, I bought a farm and raised and bred horses, trained and took in dogs for temporary boarding, and shared my life with cats of character. I can bring my passion, devotion, and decades of education in animal care to help you leave yours feeling relieved and confident that they’re in the very best of experienced, trained, knowledgeable, insured, compassionate, and endlessly loving hands.

A perpetual student, I have completed courses in Positive Reinforcement (R+) Training, first aid, animal behaviour, The Masterson Method, animal communication and massage for dogs and horses. My philosophy and innate instincts towards caring and being with animals is rooted in “safety first”, compassionate clarity of communication based on my extensive formal studies of animal behaviour; decades of hands-on experience in an infinite variety of situations; calming signals; and the priority to address the causal factors of “undesirable” behaviours which so often are because of pain or discomfort or fear rather than “being naughty”.
